Freelance Associate Designer, Handbag/Soft Accessories

We are looking for a Freelance Associate Designer, Handbags & Soft Accessories. Freelance designer will work on Handbags and Soft Accessories (socks, hats, scarves, cold-weather accessories) for Outlet and Off-Price. Ideal candidate will be a team player, detail-oriented, proactive, organized and able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. In NYC office Monday-Thursday, WFH Friday but need flexibility to come in if necessary.
- Pay rate: $ 34.50- $ 35.50
- Start ASAP
- Duration 5 months Responsibilities:
- Adobe Illustrator sketches and color ups
- Pitch/Scale artwork for soft accessories
- Update previous styles/technical specs for new season
- Make cad/art updates for proto samples and make sample comments in PLM.
- BOM updates in PLM
- 3-4 years fashion design experience. Accessories preferred, open to Apparel.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Fashion Design
- Must have design experience and an inherent understanding of the design process
- Must have proficient knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Web PLM (Centric PLM preferred)
- Strong organization, communication and time-management skills
- Works both collaboratively and independently
