Your job is to help them figure out what happens next.

At Miami Family Law Group, we help people navigate some of the most difficult, emotional, and deeply personal situations of their lives.

And we’re looking for a Non-Attorney Salesperson who can meet people in those moments with compassion, confidence, and the ability to lead a real sales conversation.

Because this role requires both.

You need to care about people.

You also need to be able to look someone in the eye after hearing their story, confidently explain the value of working with our firm, discuss a significant financial investment, and ask:

A Day in the Life

Your day starts by looking at the calendar that others have been busy filling for you. Miami Family Law Group has an established inbound engine and intake team. Prospective clients contact the firm, speak with intake, are qualified, and pay for an appointment before they ever reach you. This isn’t a traditional hunter role where you’ll spend your morning building lists and cold calling strangers. You’ll walk into conversations with people who have already raised their hands and said, “I need help.”

By 9:30am, you’ll join the sales team for a daily huddle. You’ll review the prior day, look at weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics, talk through what’s working and what isn’t, brainstorm, learn, and sometimes listen to calls together. This is a team that talks about performance openly, so you’ll always know where you stand and what needs to happen next.

From there, your calendar moves quickly. You may conduct three to five discovery call appointments in a day, each lasting about an hour. You’ll learn what brought someone to the firm, uncover the problem they’re trying to solve and the future they’re trying to create, explain the process and available options, talk through what working with the firm looks like, present the retainer, handle objections, and ask for the business.

Ideally, you’ll help someone make a decision during that first conversation. Sometimes it will take two or three. Occasionally, it may take months. Either way, you don’t write someone off because they told you they need to think about it or figure out the money. You follow up, stay connected, continue nurturing the relationship, and make sure Miami Family Law Group is top of mind when they’re ready.

And once someone becomes a client, you’re not finished.

You’ll conduct 30, 60, and 90-day client satisfaction calls to make sure the experience they were promised is the experience they’re actually receiving. You’ll also maintain detailed notes in HubSpot and Clio, send and review retainer agreements, communicate through phone, email, and text, work closely with attorneys and intake staff, and stay on top of every opportunity in your pipeline.

Your calendar will be packed. Your numbers will be visible. Your follow-up will matter.

And you’re going to talk to a lot of people.

What You'll Be Excited to Bring With You

You may have legal experience. You may not. Family law, Guardianship law, and Probate law experience is a plus, and being bilingual is a plus, but neither is what will make or break your success here.

We’re much more interested in how you sell.

You know how to build trust quickly without becoming someone's best friend. You listen closely enough to hear what someone is actually saying, not just wait for your turn to talk. You’re comfortable asking questions that go deeper than the surface-level problem because you know the best sales conversations start with understanding where someone is today and where they desperately want to be.

You also know the difference between helping someone and selling to someone. That matters here.

It’s easy to spend an hour educating someone, answer every question, have them tell you how wonderful you were, and hang up without ever asking them to make a decision.

That's not what we're looking for.

We need a consultative closer who can genuinely care about people and still confidently ask for the business. Someone who can hear a financial objection without immediately discounting, retreating, or deciding on the prospect's behalf that they can't afford it.

You'll need to be comfortable selling something intangible. There isn't a product someone can hold in their hands. You're helping them understand the value of legal representation, the experience Miami Family Law Group provides, and what taking action could mean for the future they've told you they want.

You'll also bring discipline. If you say you're going to follow up Tuesday, you follow up Tuesday.

Your CRM notes are complete. Your pipeline is accurate. You don't need someone reminding you three times to make a call. And if your numbers are behind, your instinct is to increase your activity, revisit old opportunities, ask for referrals, and figure out what needs to change.

Most importantly, you can be coached.

This is a highly accountable, metric-driven sales environment. There are daily sales meetings, defined processes, call reviews, trainings, and clear expectations. You'll know your numbers, and so will your leadership team.

If that feels suffocating, this probably isn't your environment.

If you like knowing exactly what winning looks like, appreciate someone helping you see your blind spots, and want to continuously sharpen how you sell, you'll probably thrive here.

The Details

This is a full-time, in-office position in our Miami, Florida office, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch.

You'll receive approximately four weeks of onboarding and training, ongoing sales coaching, daily team interaction, and opportunities to participate in additional firm-paid training around the country.

Finalists will meet with Emily Phillips, our Founder. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon completion of applicable pre-employment screening requirements.

• Proven ability in sales or customer service with excellent communication skills.

Benefits

This position offers a $70,000 base salary plus uncapped commission, with commission paid quarterly. A strong performer should realistically have the opportunity to earn approximately $100,000-$130,000, with top-performer potential of $140,000+. You'll also have the opportunity to earn additional compensation through successful 30, 60, and 90-day client satisfaction calls.

The base gives you stability. The upside is there for someone who wants more.
