As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll work full-time with 7th and 8th graders, collaborating with a dedicated team in a school community recognized for its diverse, mission-driven programs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut teaching certificate with Comprehensive Special Education endorsement #165.
- Bachelor’s degree from an approved Special Education preparation program, plus all required CT testing and eligibility credentials.
- Experience designing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting instruction, and managing varied caseloads.
- Strong communication skills, compassion, and commitment to each student’s growth.
Position Details:
- Start date: September 17, 2026, through June 11, 2027.
- Contracted for 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Caseload ranges from 8 to 20 students—roles are available in programs with different levels of severity and academic, behavioral, and emotional goals.
- Engage actively in collaborative planning, data-driven instruction, and family communication to foster every student's success.
