Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Title Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Location Atlanta, GA Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for surgical patients including those undergoing general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head and neck surgery
- Care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies in a specialized ENT surgical unit
- Monitor and assess post-surgical patients, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license - must be in hand at time of submission
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated experience as a surgical RN with strong clinical skills
- Experience caring for patients with tracheostomies and/or laryngectomies
- Prior experience in an ENT or head and neck surgical unit
- Experience with bariatric surgical patient populations
- Familiarity with post-operative care protocols for complex surgical cases
