Senior Accountant

We are partnering with a growing, multi-billion-dollar energy company in their search for a Senior Accountant. We are specifically seeking an early career candidate with two to four years of public accounting experience that includes oil & gas clients. This is a tightknit and collaborative team, and the Senior Accountant will enjoy a broad range of responsibilities. The Senior Accountant role provides the opportunity to deepen your corporate accounting knowledge as well as gain hands on experience with operational finance metrics and reports. Some highlights of what the Senior Accountant role offers: Competitive compensation and benefits package Strong leadership and colleagues – collaborative atmosphere Interesting variety of work that is a blend of corporate accounting & reporting and operational finance Central location with a rare hybrid schedule Some key responsibilities for the Senior Accountant role: Assist with corporate accounting entries such as ARO, DD&A, PP&E and more Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual close process and preparation of the financial statements Assist with fulfilling requests for the annual audit and tax filings Variance analysis and monthly management reporting Over time, work with landmen and engineers for operational reports regarding various KPIs and metrics for upstream and midstream assets Other ad hoc responsibilities and projects as they arise Required education and experience for the Senior Accountant role: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four-year university Master of Accountancy/MBA/M.S. Finance is desirable but not required CPA eligible and progression towards CPA license is preferred 2 -4 years of experience with a public accounting firm that includes experience working on engagements for oil & gas companies Strong attention to detail and time management skills Enthusiastic and analytical with excellent communication skills All applications will receive respectful consideration.
