Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs
- Document patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
- Collaborate with the therapy team to maximize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Virginia (or compact eligible)
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience preferred
Education
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of rehabilitative techniques and therapeutic modalities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in documentation and electronic medical records
