Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for ICU Nurses!


- Shift: 12-Hour Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float
- Unit Type: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 12 Beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 (1:1s occur infrequently)
- Certifications Needed: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience Required: Must be comfortable with EKG interpretation, ventilators, and bedside procedures such as TEEs and bronchs.
- Floating: Occasional floating to other facilities within the region; mid-shift float is rare.
- Orientation: 1-2 days on the floor with a preceptor for a smooth transition.
- Common Diagnoses: Medical/Surgical ICU patients including non-STEMI, CVA, multi-organ failure, sepsis, respiratory failure, and comfort care patients.
- Schedule Flexibility: Self-scheduling available with the opportunity to access your schedule from home and trade shifts with colleagues.
- Team Collaboration: Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and work alongside Hospitalists or Intensivists on-site.
- Work Environment: Supportive environment with a dedicated Charge Nurse who typically does not take patients but will assist with break relief.
- Weekend Requirements: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week period.
- Scrub Colors: Navy required, with optional navy scrub jackets. Undershirts must be navy, white, or black.
