Account Manager – Employee Benefits This role works collaboratively with the service team to provide day-to-day service for employee benefits clients by maintaining client relationships, supporting client retention, maintaining strong carrier relationships and understanding client needs. Serves as day-to-day contact and provides resolution for client questions and issues. Duties & Responsibilities Develop client relationships with HR Managers/Directors and C‑Suite. Develop a plan to meet clients’ short- and long-term needs throughout the year. Manage the RFP and marketing process. Collaborate with Producer in the renewal planning process. Advises and guides clients in compliance matters. Manage and facilitate preparation of open enrollment (OE) packets, including SBCs and disclosure notices. Understand and explain all aspects of carrier renewals for assigned clients. Maintain client relationships, support client retention, maintain strong carrier relationships and understand client needs. Manage claims and coverage issue resolution for clients’ employees when elevated from HR. Develop open enrollment presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint for employees and HR Managers as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (college degree strongly preferred). At least 3+ years of related employee benefits, account‑service experience within a brokerage environment. Knowledge of employee benefits and related legislation such as ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA. Currently licensed in good standing. Confidence and demeanor to effectively interact with all levels within the organization. Strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail. Computer literate – Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Open to remote work. Required experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience; required education: high school or equivalent; no travel required. Compensation & Benefits Expected salary range: $80,000 – $85,000 per year, depending on geographical location and other factors.
