Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and specialists
• Resourcefulness, patience, and a commitment to making a positive impact
• Willingness to contribute creatively to classroom management and curriculum adaptation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and document student outcomes in compliance with legal requirements
• Foster an environment that encourages student independence, self-advocacy, and mutual respect
• Communicate frequently with families regarding student growth and needs
