Clinical Pharmacist Location: Fridley, MN 55421 Pay Rate: $64.27 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday & Weekend Rotation | Varying Shifts Mon–Fri: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM / 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM / 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM Sat–Sun: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM Overtime: Not required but may be offered occasionally. Type: Full-Time We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations in Fridley, MN. This role involves a combination of clinical dispensing, patient counseling, medication safety oversight, and sterile compounding responsibilities within a fast‑paced pharmacy environment. Role Overview The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing, supporting patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards. This role includes both operational and clinical responsibilities, with occasional sterile compounding and IV‑related support preferred but not required. Clinical & Patient Care Accept and dispense prescription medications in accordance with pharmacy regulations and clinical standards. Monitor patient medication adherence and identify potential overuse or safety concerns. Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate, safe, and legally compliant. Provide patient counseling on medications, including dosage, administration, side effects, and drug interactions. Respond to patient inquiries regarding prescription and non‑prescription medications. Pharmacy Operations Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements. Ensure proper management of pharmacy files, documentation, and workflow systems. Verify accuracy of prescriptions and maintain high standards of quality and safety. Support inventory management of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Clinical Collaboration Communicate and collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy interns. Identify and elevate drug‑related problems or clinical concerns to appropriate healthcare providers. Support interdisciplinary care coordination to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Compounding & Technical Duties Compound medications for internal and external use as required. Prepare sterile solutions following established procedures and safety standards. IV experience is a plus but not required. Supervision & Support Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and support staff as needed. Support daily pharmacy operations in a high‑volume environment. Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Provide preventative care services such as smoking cessation counseling and basic health screenings. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacist license in good standing (Minnesota licensure required or ability to obtain) Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree required Strong knowledge of prescription dispensing, medication safety, and pharmacy regulations Ability to work in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment Strong communication and clinical decision‑making skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with sterile compounding and/or IV preparation (preferred, not required) Prior experience in retail, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings Experience supervising pharmacy support staff Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience working rotating or variable shifts Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a licensed pharmacist who is comfortable working in a dynamic pharmacy environment with varying shifts.
