Radiation Therapist (Radiation Therapy Tech) in Hilo, Hawaii, United States. Travel - Temporary Assignment starting 10/26/2026 for 20 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,475–$2,704 per week. - Setting: Travel assignment at a hospital-based cancer center serving the island of Hawaii Responsibilities
- Independently perform radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of specialized treatment aides per physician prescription.
- Operate a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and ARIA EMR; deliver care to 25–30 patients per day.
- Administer treatment modalities including 3D conformal, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons; perform set-ups for all treatment sites.
- Monitor patients during therapy, document in the EMR, and collaborate with the oncology team to address patient needs.
- Adhere to safety, QA, and regulatory standards to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery. Requirements
- Hawaii State license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist (Radiation Therapist) by start of assignment; travelers not currently licensed must apply upon acceptance.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (T) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist experience.
- Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam and ARIA EMR; EMR experience with Epic is preferred.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must arrive the Thursday before start to attend required employee health screening. Benefits and Support
