Demonstrate assessment skills in high and low-risk obstetrical patients to identify potential risks and health issues.Identify and report maternal and newborn problems to the physician promptly. Assist with the transfer of newborns to other facilities when indicated, ensuring safe and efficient transfers.Accurately identify and band newborns, mothers, and significant others to prevent mix-ups.Document all care activities accurately, including band identification numbers in medical records.Provide care during obstetrical surgical procedures, assisting in the Labor & Delivery Operating Suite.Perform intraoperative and post-anesthesia care according to established standards.Conduct steam sterilization processing for instruments and supplies, ensuring all sterilization parameters are met.Provide emotional support for grieving parents, offering compassionate support and connecting them with appropriate support groups.Educate and support families about newborn care, health conditions, and post-discharge care.EducationAssociate's of Nursing [Required]Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]Work Experience1+ acute nursing experience [Preferred]Licenses and CertificationsBasic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required]Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]Neonatal Med Certification (NEONATAL MED) [Preferred]Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - Range: $33.94 - $57.08This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
