Consumer Loan Servicer

Lafayette Federal Credit Union is looking for a Consumer Loan Servicer to manage existing consumer loans in its portfolio and those sold to investors. The role includes resolving internal and external member inquiries, performing loan maintenance within the core system, managing the title process on auto, boat, and RV loans, troubleshooting system issues, and coordinating interfaces with external and internal parties. A day in the life of a Consumer Loan Servicer will include: Performing a variety of loan servicing duties such as collateral loan title tracking, maintaining insurance tracking for collateral loans, filing Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and generating lien releases. Providing service to members and third parties by resolving inquiries related to loan payment history, payment correction, generating payoff statements, processing payoff transactions, due date changes, interest rate discounts, loan amortization, and loan verification. Generating and reviewing consumer loan reports, including funding reports, paid‑in‑full reports, low balance reports, UCC reports, and maintaining tracking logs for auto, boat, and RV title, insurance, and UCC. Performing quality control on all consumer loans to ensure data within the core system aligns with the loan agreement. Reviewing third‑party vendors’ reports and invoices and auditing for accuracy against LFCU policies and procedures. Collecting required documents for subordination requests on loans held in the Lafayette Federal portfolio and assisting the Investor Relations team for loans held by various investors, preparing subordination agreements, and updating trackers. Requirements Three to five years of similar or related experience. Education A high school education or GED.
