Position Summary As a Bakery Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Bakery and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. Responsibilities Team Leader: Supervises the team within the Bakery department to deliver on the business plan, contributes to the overall success of the club by communicating the goals of the department, executing company programs, adhering to policies, and being an advocate for the member, the associate, and the company. Expert: Maintains in‑depth knowledge of floor, backroom operations, product specifications, and seasonality of product; ensures the Bakery department meets company and regulatory standards for quality inventory, equipment usage, production safety, sanitation, and compliance; shares knowledge and trains the team. Techie: Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production training and product quality; adopts new tools and encourages others to use them. Owner: Drives the business results ensuring commitment to operational excellence; maintains a neat, clean, and safe work area; plans and staffs for weekly bakery volumes; drives consistency in quality, food safety, and company policies; maintains accurate inventory audit and compliance standards; produces and displays merchandise according to layout plan. Talent Ambassador: Teaches and trains the team by identifying training needs; provides and develops necessary skills to deliver high‑quality products; encourages career growth for team members and sources new talent internally and externally. Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying requires me to successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if I receive the position. Preferred Qualifications Bakery production including decorating. Supervising Associates. Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) – Certification Primary. Salary The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 to $34.00*. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
