Lead Line Cook

Job Overview

At Centro Woodfired Pizzeria were looking for an experienced cook who is ready to take the next step into kitchen leadership.
As our Lead Line Cook youll be responsible for leading the line during service setting the standard for food quality and execution and helping develop the cooks around you. This is a hands-on leadership roleyoull be cooking alongside the team while ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen meets Centros standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the line during lunch and dinner service.
• Maintain food quality consistency presentation and ticket times.
• Direct and support line cooks throughout each shift.
• Train and mentor new kitchen team members.
• Ensure recipes and portion standards are followed consistently.
• Jump into any station as needed to keep service running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean organized and food-safe kitchen.
• Communicate effectively with management prep cooks and the front-of-house team.
• Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency quality and teamwork.
• Foster a positive accountable and professional kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• 2 years of high-volume line cooking experience preferred.
• Previous experience leading or training kitchen staff is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to remain calm organized and decisive during busy services.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
