\nWe are presently seeking a QA Technician that will perform various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspection/measurements.\n
\n
\nMain responsibilities:\n
\n

\n
• Identification of improvements in processes, such as reduction of handling, measuring, storing, etc. and communicating those ideas to the Sustaining/Quality Engineering team.
\n
• Supportive of Process Engineering by conducting Tests of the Day (TOD), specific data collection while working towards validating the reduction of inspections and metrology measurements.
\n
• Completes First Article Inspections with little assistance.
\n
• Provides guidance, coaching, and training to Level I QA Technicians, and develops Manufacturing Technicians to conduct self-qualification.
\n
• Performs measurement and inspection on complex optics and optical assemblies using non-traditional methods and equipment, as instructed. This includes any necessary setup.

\nRequirements:\n
\n

\n
• High School Diploma Required
\n
• Associates degree preferred
\n
• Knowledge and understanding of moderate to complex math calculations a plus.
\n
• 5+ years of experience in a quality assurance position in a manufacturing environment.
\n

\nPay Range: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour, depending on experience.\n

\nOur facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines. This facility specializes in the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.\n

\nThis site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.\n
