Overview Position: Assistant Coach for Co-ed Cross Country Location: Chicago, IL Job Id: 212 # of Openings: 1 Job Title: Assistant Coach for Co-ed Cross Country Department: Athletics Classification: Exempt Reports to: Athletic Director Schedule: Seasonal Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, a Jesuit, college-preparatory, co-educational school seeks an Assistant Coach for Cross Country. The successful candidate will have a commitment to Catholic education and a willingness to work with a population of diverse learners. The successful Cristo Rey coach is dedicated to developing the whole person in sport, character, and skills for success in life. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Cross Country boys and girls teams, under the supervision of the Head Varsity Coach. Qualifications Strong background in the sport. Excellent role model. Flexible in nature and dedicated to empowering Hispanic student-athletes. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; familiarity with the mission of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School; the ability to respond effectively to the needs of student-athletes. Minimum 21 years of age, driver’s license preferred. Ability to use technology in support of instruction and athlete development. Commitment to working with a diverse student body. Familiarity with Spanish language and first-generation college bound students preferred. Willingness to collaborate with others. Familiarity with current coaching and training methods.
