Staff AccountantUrbandale, Iowa, United StatesAbout the JobWe are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team within the insurance industry. This role focuses on accounts receivable and collections, with the opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to process improvements. Candidates must be local and able to work onsite daily until trained, after which the schedule transitions to six onsite days per month.ResponsibilitiesWork with client teams to collect on past due invoices while maintaining strong client relationshipsCollaborate with Cash Application and offshore Collections teamsAssist with the development, implementation, and documentation of procedures and process improvements for collections and reporting functionsProvide feedback and guidance for offshore Collections team membersAnalyze and report on past due client trends, identifying risks and root causes of non-paymentPartner with onshore team members to develop process efficienciesEnsure compliance with corporate policies and SOX proceduresRequired Qualifications1 - 3 years of collections, finance, or related experienceStrong communication and teamwork skillsIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft ExcelEducation and ExperienceBachelors degree preferredPrior reporting and project work experience a plusStrong attention to detailThis is a great opportunity to build your accounting career while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
