Job Summary A temp to hire opportunity is available for an experienced Service Dispatcher in Redlands, CA. Key Responsibilities Receive, prioritize, and process incoming service requests through multi-line phone systems, email, and electronic dispatch platforms. Dispatch HVAC service technicians promptly while maintaining clear, professional communication with field teams and customers. Use GPS, GIS, fleet management tools, and transportation systems to monitor technician locations, route efficiency, and service progress. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to support service operations and technician readiness. Track dispatch activity, update records accurately, and communicate status changes, delays, or logistical concerns to internal teams and external partners. Review operational data to identify opportunities to improve routing, scheduling, transportation planning, and overall service efficiency. * MUST HAVE SERVICE DISPATCHING EXPERIENCE, Will NOT consider logistics dispatcher experience. * Required Qualifications and Skills Coordinate daily HVAC service dispatch activity and technician assignments. Monitor fleet, routing, GPS, and service status updates in real time. Manage incoming service calls, emails, dispatch platform updates, and related documentation. Support efficient field service operations through accurate communication and scheduling. 3 to 5 years of relevant dispatching experience. Proven experience dispatching in the HVAC service industry or a closely related field. Strong knowledge of GPS technology, mapping, routing, and direction planning. Familiarity with fleet management software, transportation planning tools, and electronic dispatch platforms. Ability to operate multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette. Strong data entry skills, typing accuracy, and attention to detail when maintaining service records. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and identify efficiency improvements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills for resolving delays, schedule changes, and logistical challenges. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced service environment while staying organized and accurate. Preferred Qualifications Experience using GIS, transportation management systems, or advanced route optimization tools. Background supporting shipping, receiving, supply chain, or field service logistics. Prior experience coordinating multiple technicians, urgent service requests, and changing daily priorities.
