Pediatric Physical TherapistShriners Children's Salt Lake City is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our collaborative and mission-driven team. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on children and families by delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a setting that truly puts patients first.As a Physical Therapist, you will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services tailored to each child's developmental, physical, and functional needs. Care is delivered in an age-appropriate, family-centered manner, with a strong emphasis on education, collaboration, and continuity of care across the treatment journey.A significant focus of this position is complex mobility and wheelchair services. The Physical Therapist in this role will spend a large portion of their time completing wheelchair and seating evaluations, collaborating with families and vendors, selecting appropriate mobility equipment, and writing detailed Letters of Medical Necessity to support procurement. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys problem-solving, technology, and helping children gain independence through customized mobility solutions.You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team and local leaders to provide safe, compliant, and evidence-based care aligned with professional standards of practice. All care is delivered within the Shriners Children's FOCUSED Program, our system-wide model of professional practice that emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and excellence—always putting the needs of children and their families first.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrates competency in the examination of the patient to include history and systems review, selection and administration of specific tests and measures to obtain clinical dataDemonstrate the knowledge and advanced skills to design and implement a comprehensive treatment plan, utilizing evidence base practice, for patients of diverse ages and diagnoses based on their assessmentDemonstrates and maintains current knowledge/skills necessary to fabricate orthotic devices as indicated by the treatment planUtilizes language appropriate to patient/family level of understanding, and written or demonstrated methods for exercises/activities, splints and equipment useRecords clinical activity as close as possible to the time care was delivered, only uses abbreviations approved by the facility, is objective and factual using quantitative metrics, and is HIPAA compliantParticipates in program development and departmental responsibilities as assigned while demonstrating adherence to deadlinesResponsible for maintaining current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice, coding/billing practices, compliant documentation and any other knowledge related to the compliant practice in a revenue cycle environmentRequired Qualifications:Education necessary to obtain License in State of PracticeLicensed in state of practiceBasic Life Support (BLS)Preferred Qualifications:1 year Physical Therapy1 year of PT or OT practice experienceAOTA fieldwork educator certificate, APTA credentialed clinical instructor, or ASHA clinical fellowship mentorKnowledge, skills, and abilities in working with children at various levels of careAbility to work independently, work within a multidisciplinary treatment team, and collaborate and/or coordinate services with team membersExcellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to interact effectively and sensitively with children and families of different developmental levels and cultural backgroundsThe pay range for this position is $38.90 - $58.36. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
