Trial Attorney

Liakas Law, P.C., a personal injury practice with offices located in New York and New Jersey, is seeking a full-time plaintiff’s trial associate to join the team. The firm was founded on the principles of compassion and integrity and is rooted in the spirit of relentless advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the merits of a personal injury case; determine insurance coverage, case value, and medical treatment plans
• Interview clients and witnesses
• Conduct legal research and strategic case analysis
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
• Prepare cases for trial, including jury selection, opening statements, witness examinations, and closing arguments
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Collaborate with experts (economists, accident reconstructionists, etc.)
• Lead negotiations and maintain strong client communication

Qualifications

• Candidates will have 2–5 years of plaintiff’s personal injury experience
• An active legal license to practice in New York and in good standing
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
