Position: Emergency Department RN (Level 2)
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts with days, nights, weekends and holidays rotating, plus 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks; 36 hours a week
Experience: Two years acute hospital experience as an RN, including one year in an emergency department
Required: Current NYS RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS and stroke certification (AHA or RQI only)
Duties: Triage and connect with patients and families, assign priority of care under ESI standards and conduct primary assessment of critical need across all age groups within acceptable time frames; deliver direct care using invasive and non-invasive procedures and therapeutic interventions for both life-threatening and routine emergencies; assess physiological, psychosocial, emotional and cultural needs of patients, families and support systems, and use relationship-based care to ease anxiety, inform, and address pain, discomfort and safety
