Must-Have:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing
• First-time travelers accepted with 3 years of experience

Description:

Two updated supervisory or higher references are required at the time of submission. Weekend coverage is required. Floating is not required. On-call requirements are not applicable. No scheduling requests can be accommodated. The candidate should have experience with the following skills:

• Biological indicators
• Case cart management
• Use of washers and sterilizers
• Steam sterilization testing and monitoring
• Proper selection of wrapping materials
• Equipment cleaning procedures
• High-level disinfection procedures
• Immediate-use steam sterilization

The average daily surgical case volume is 65-70. The average daily tray volume is approximately 500. Preferred experience includes dental, cardiovascular, thoracic, spine, and cranial procedures. Experience with robotics and sterile processing instrument tracking is highly recommended. Call requirements are on weekends, with expectations of up to 4 shifts in a 6-week period. The facility experiences a daily census of 65-70 patients. There are 19 operating rooms in the facility. Max time off allowed is 10 days, with none permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
