Job Purpose

The Full Time Receptionist at Utah Food Bank plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of front desk activities, providing exceptional customer service to visitors, donors, and staff members. This position is responsible for managing the reception area, handling inquiries, and supporting administrative tasks to contribute to the organization's mission of fighting hunger statewide.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and welcome visitors and donors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.

- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate departments, providing accurate information and assistance.

- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and well-organized at all times.

- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, coordinating with relevant departments for efficient distribution.

- Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings, maintaining an organized calendar for the office.

- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records as needed.

- Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective communication and smooth operations.

- Provide assistance and information to staff members as required, contributing to a collaborative work environment.

- Uphold the values and mission of Utah Food Bank, demonstrating commitment to serving the community and addressing food insecurity.

Qualifications

Required Education: - High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience: - Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role. - Experience working in a non-profit organization or similar environment is preferred. Required Skills and Abilities: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Ability to handle a multi-line phone system efficiently. - Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines.
