Job Summary:

This position serves as Beaver Creek Resort's winter seasonal manager for the Guest Services department and is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences throughout the resort. The role oversees Guest Services, Lost & Found, Ski Valet, the Slope Side Lounge, and the Volunteer Program, ensuring that every guest interaction reflects Beaver Creek's commitment to world-class hospitality.

The manager is responsible for leading daily operations, guest recovery efforts and employee development. This position also oversees labor and expense budgets while fostering a culture of service excellence, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Success in this role is achieved through strong leadership, financial stewardship, operational planning, employee development, quality control, and effective collaboration with internal and external partners. This position plays a key role in developing, communicating, and implementing resort goals and initiatives while building strong relationships across the organization and community

• Starting Wage: $57,784.00 - $71,664.00

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight for resort Guest Services operations, including in-resort Guest Services, Lost & Found, Ski Valet, the Slope Side Lounge, Volunteer Program and Employee Center.
• Lead and support both in-resort and on-mountain guest service functions, volunteer engagement, and iconic guest experiences such as Cookie Time.
• Coordinate and implement staff and volunteer recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching.
• Develop leaders within the Guest Services organization to strengthen leadership capabilities and prepare employees for future growth opportunities.
• Establish goals, development plans, and performance expectations for direct reports while ensuring effective hiring, training, coaching, and accountability.
• Resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner, utilizing service recovery best practices to exceed guest expectations and strengthen guest loyalty.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and professional work environment while maintaining courteous and respectful communication with employees, guests, volunteers, and partners.
• Manage labor, operating, and departmental budgets while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance the guest experience.
• Utilize resort technology systems and reporting tools with a high degree of accuracy to support daily operations and decision-making.
• Continuously assess operational performance and guest feedback to identify service enhancements and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and operational standards to promote a safe environment for guests, volunteers, and employees.
• Participate in resort-wide initiatives and best-practice groups focused on guest service excellence and operational effectiveness.
• Partner with resort departments to support overall operational success and deliver a seamless guest experience throughout Beaver Creek.

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technology platforms and operational systems.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational abilities.
• Proven change management experience, including the ability to champion and implement new initiatives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong conflict resolution, de-escalation, and guest recovery capabilities.
• Experience leading and inspiring large teams, volunteers, and cross-functional groups.
• Ability to effectively manage vendor relationships, timelines, budgets, and project deliverables.
• Strong business acumen with an ability to balance guest experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
• Objective and collaborative approach to supporting resort-wide operational goals

The expected pay range is $57,784.00 - $71,664.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
