Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity impacting students for the 2026–2027 school year as a School Psychologist in the greater Houston area. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for dedicated professionals who thrive in a collaborative school setting and are passionate about supporting academic and emotional success.
Ideal candidates will bring strong clinical experience and the ability to navigate diverse educational environments. You’ll work closely with educators, families, and students, providing critical psychological support, assessments, and consultation while serving as a vital resource for the school community.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas School Psychologist credential or licensure
- Recent school-based experience as a School Psychologist or LSSP
- Willingness to work on-site (potential to write reports from home in a hybrid fashion may be considered)
- Full-time availability (37.5 hours per week)
- Commitment to assignment through May 28, 2027
- Ability to complete HISD fingerprinting within the first three days of contract signing
- Reliable transportation for consistent on-site presence
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and prepare detailed reports
- Develop and support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents concerning student needs
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support services for students
- Maintain up-to-date documentation in accordance with state and district policies
- Deliver bilingual psychological services if qualified (preferred, but not required)
