Hotel Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

As an Engineer you will be responsible for keeping all building and equipment in good repair, minimizing down time by providing day-to-day maintenance and performing preventative maintenance of the hotel.

Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, the Hilton Milwaukee is Milwaukee’s largest hotel. What will you be doing?

• Perform daily shift reports including documenting all calls in the Engineer’s log, monitoring and closing out calls through Operator.

• Adhere to all OSHA standards and procedures.

• Maintain building interior and exterior.

• Foster excellent guest/associate rapport by promptly addressing requests.

• Perform preventative maintenance on all FF&E.

• Assist in cost control: Heat, Power, Light, Sewer and Water and provide recommendations for improved methods and procedures.

Troubleshoot, repair and or maintain the following:

• All building and FF&E

• HVAC; Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning, and Refrigeration equipment

• Electrical systems

• Mechanical equipment, i.e. motors, starters, pumps, fans, generators and chillers

• Plumbing and drains

• Pneumatic and electronic systems and controls

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

• Previous engineering experience preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• CFC Certification for Refrigerant handling and Power Engineering Training Program certification preferred

• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as Lockout Tag Out, MSDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.

• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates

• Must be able to analyze problems, identify course of action, implement solutions and work as an indecent mechanic.

• Represent the company in a courteous and well-groomed manner.

• Must be able to use and understand hand and power tools.

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist and stretch.

• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
