Job Description Job Description Salary: $58,000-$65,000/year DOE Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, theBusiness DevelopmentSpecialistplays a critical role in providing strategic direction and managing the tactical delivery of business development initiatives for the firmsFlorida offices(Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, West Palm Beach). This highly visible team member will develop and support initiatives that help drive new business from both existing clients and prospects and foster a culture of collaboration and cross-selling.The Business DevelopmentSpecialistfunction is crucial to the day-to-day success of thebusiness,and this individual will play an essential part in this model. Role and responsibilities: Practice strategy,planningand execution: Working closely with the attorneys to develop and implementabusiness development strategyfor the Florida officeand its attorneys.Provide continuous assessment of existing business development plans and tracking ROI to ensure funding and time investments are appropriatelyallocated. Pitches,proposals,andcredentials: Working directly with the attorneys to create competitive proposals, pitches and presentations for work originating in theFlorida market. Cross-practice & cross-office integration: Using an understanding of the firm and its business developmentprofessionals,coordinateexisting projects and activelyseekout anddevelopnew opportunities. Market Research: Conducting market research on existing and prospective clients and market issues which mayimpactclients' businesses and providing advice on effective marketing strategies to address these issues. Marketing discussion & review:Attendingpractice teammeetingsthat haveFlorida representationto review progress on marketing projects and key client targeting; ensuring relevant information from these meetings is circulated to other relevant internal groups. Profile/PR: Working with our PR team to spot opportunities andmaintaineffective press coverage on major market developments.Responsible for ensuringa timelyflow of information on matters andexpertisethat can beleveragedfor internal knowledge and external PR purposes, content marketing,and thought leadership opportunities. Sponsorships andclientevents:Identifyingand coordinating firm sponsorships of conferencesand hosted events that enhance thefirm's Floridaprofile, including speaking engagement pitching. Assistingon overallmessaging in marketing materials, externalwebsite,and legal rankings and surveys. Develop andmaintainrelationships with external organizations that are strategically relevant. Where the external relationship includes a financial commitment to sponsor the organization, ensure that we areleveragingthe sponsorship to its maximum capacity,monitorand report onROIand provide recommendations for future investments. Other duties and responsibilities as assignedby the CMO. Key requirements 3to5years of professional services experiencein a law firmor accounting firmrequired. Experienceworking in a high-profile, fast-paced environment. A tenacious, proactive approach to achieving results. A self-starter with the abilitytoprioritize, multi-task and drive forward multiple projects. Excellent communication skills. Willingness and enthusiasm to develop an in-depth understanding of markets in which your practice areasoperate. Bachelor'sdegreerequired. Salary range: $58,000-$65,000/year.This is a good faith estimate for the position based on location and minimum criteria. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
