Patient Account Rep

Saint Joseph's Medical Center is seeking a full time Patient Account Rep for the day shift 8AM-4PM. The Patient Account Rep reviews bills to ensure that demographic information and charges concur with that of the patient and procedures performed. Verifies insurance information and processes claims with appropriate carrier. Follows up w/ insurance carrier to resolve problems until payment is made, ensures correctness of payment and facilitates adjustment of account balance. Reviews denials and contacts insurance companies as necessary and prepares refunds when applicable. Skills: calculator use, good math aptitude, verbal skills, operates a computer terminal.

Education and Qualification Requirements
