Quality Control Inspector 1

Roles & Responsibilities

• Complete inspections of materials and file quality records (receiving files, non-conforming material reports)
• Check, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for quality
• Count, weigh, or measure items to verify against invoices, orders, or bills of lading
• Examine and unpack shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items
• Identify and route non-conforming or bad materials appropriately
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies
• Perform basic testing procedures and simple statistical sampling analysis
• Maintain a neat, organized receiving area
• Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) for mechanical/physical inspections
• Enter data and prepare reports using MS Office tools

Experience Required

• 0 - 5 years; at least 1 year of mechanical inspection experience in an FDA/ISO regulated environment preferred (negotiable)

Skills & Certifications

• Basic knowledge of inspection/sampling techniques (familiarity with ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 a plus)
• Familiarity with FDA QSR and/or ISO 9000/ISO 13485 Quality Systems (preferred)
• Mechanical and physical inspection tool proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and accountability
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to read and interpret operational documents/specifications

Eligibilities & qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (technical degree/certification preferred)
• Must be local and available onsite daily
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Able to stand/walk for 4+ hours per day
• Comfortable working with limited supervision in a fast-paced warehouse environment
