Join us on this shared journey toward a brighter tomorrow.JOB PURPOSEThis role supports and advances projects for steering & suspension across the aftermarket (AFM).It requires a forward-thinking Global Product Engineer who blends technical knowledge with entrepreneurial drive, customer-focused innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. The position supports the global progression of key AFM initiatives and reports to the Engineering Lead for steering & suspension, AFM.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical Support and Innovation:Provide technical support for steering & suspension product across aftermarket.Engage with customers and cross-functional stakeholders (product line, purchasing, etc.) to identify unmet needs and translate them into technical solutions.Deliver engineering responses to customer support and service inquiries.Engineering and Support:Execute development and validation of aftermarket products sourced from third parties.Complete bench-marking of competitor productsOversee product testing for new-to-range products and for the introduction of new supply suppliers.Technical Documentation and Systems:Create and maintain technical documentation: product attributes, specifications, BOMs, global requirements, benchmarking, and design reviews.Ensure timely documentation of engineering changes and updates to aftermarket commercial and technical systems.Load and maintain engineering data in NPI, PIM and SAP systems.Develop and maintain Global Technical Requirements and Design Validation Plan & Reports for aftermarket steering & suspension product.Quality and Testing:Support quality investigations and resolution of product concerns.Support audit of new supply sources for steering & suspension products.Collaboration and Liaison:Coordinate with global functions: product line and purchasingEngage with regional functions: category management, customer & supplier quality, sales and technical service teams to ensure smooth product launches.Partner with PHINIA and third-party suppliers to enhance AFM efficiency and revenue.Provide technical guidance to the aftermarket Global Engineering Manager and broader business.Overall Responsibilities:Product validation for new-to-range and MCIP resourcing activities.Engineering authority on concessions and deviations.Engineering authority on Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)Decision-making authority on engineering changes and customer-driven adaptationRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical engineering education with relevant industrial experience will be considered).3+ years of experience in the automotive and or aftermarket, with design and/or manufacturing of knowledge.Experience with steering & suspension passenger car systems preferredCommercial acumen with the ability to analyze data and produce reports.Builds trust with key stakeholders and understands the customer perspective.Proactive self-starter who works with own-initiative and fosters a culture of innovation and customer focus.
