SELLING DISTRICT SALES MANAGER – WHAT IS IT?
The Selling District Sales Manager (Selling DSM) is temporarily responsible for developing and growing a sales territory while learning our sales process, product knowledge, leadership expectations, and company training methods. In this role, you will actively manage accounts, prospect new business, build customer relationships, and drive territory growth through a combination of sales and service activities. This position is designed as a development path into a full District Sales Manager role. As you achieve agreed-upon goals for territory growth and performance, you will transition into the full responsibilities of a District Sales Manager, including leadership and expanded territory management opportunities.POSITION SUMMARY
The District Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a sales team to achieve district revenue, growth, and performance goals. This role oversees day-to-day field activities, supports team members through coaching and training, and ensures consistent execution of company sales strategies. The District Sales Manager builds strong customer relationships, identifies opportunities for market expansion, and serves as the primary link between the field sales team and corporate leadership.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet or exceed sales growth targets by driving increases in average order value, new agreement growth, and average monthly orders Recruit, interview, and on-board new field sales associates Provide field supervision, coaching, and development for both new and tenured sales associates Develop clear business and territory plans to support strategic growth Reinforce and support corporate policies and guidelines in a consistent, professional manner Build and maintain strong sales relationships with existing and prospective customers Assist in the development of future Sales Managers through structured training assignments Serve as a liaison between field sales and company headquarters Complete all required administrative tasks and documentation Promote and support company marketing initiatives and promotional programsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
