You will design and deliver engaging training programs, focused on both power and technical skills, that equip our sales professionals with the tools and techniques they need to excel. The Industrial Specialties Division is our industrial-focused business organization, which serves customers with solutions designed to improve productivity, safety, and operational performance across a wide range of industrial applications. This means working in a business environment centered on understanding industrial customer needs, supporting technical and commercial sales efforts, and helping sales teams succeed in complex, solution-oriented markets.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Design, develop, and deliver sales training programs for new and existing sales employees, as well as customers
• Support sales training across multiple business areas
• Create engaging learning experiences that build product knowledge, sales skills, and business acumen
• Facilitate instructor-led training, virtual sessions, workshops, and other development programs
• Partner with sales leaders and cross-functional teams to identify training needs and priorities
• Adapt training content and delivery methods to meet the needs of different audiences and business conditions
• Manage multiple training initiatives, projects, and timelines simultaneously
• Continuously improve training materials and methods using feedback, business insights, and innovative approaches
• Support onboarding and ongoing development of sales professionals within the organization
• Providing ongoing coaching and support to Industrial Specialties Division sales professionals
• Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in sales training
• Establishing and owning relationships with key stakeholders within the division, across global areas, departments and levels of leadership
• Collaborating closely with regional leaders, portfolios leaders, Application Engineers and key stakeholders

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (Completed and verified prior to start)
• Five (5) years of sales training experience in a private, public, industrial, government or military environment

• Demonstrated ability of influencing others to positive action and goal attainment
• Robust attention to the details without losing sight of the big picture
• Self-starter who can effectively work in a fast-paced environment; and work through and manage change/ambiguity, with an appropriate sense of urgency
• Proven experience in sales, sales training and/or a related field.
• Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques.
• Ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.

Work location:

• This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic travel
