Nuclear Medicine TechnologistThe Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by administering radioactive substances to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. This position involves operating sophisticated imaging equipment and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.Monday to Friday7:00 AM to 3:30 PMNo holidays, no call, and no weekends requiredCNMT Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine is accepted as an alternative to CNMT.Current New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) license to practice nuclear medicine.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.NIH Stroke Certification is often preferred.Adherence to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations is necessary.Conducting nuclear medicine procedures and imaging.Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients.Operating imaging equipment and ensuring the quality of acquired images.Monitoring patient exposure to radiation according to safety standards.Documenting procedures and patient information accurately.Collaborating with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.This position is available in various locations within the region, including New York.Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by submitting their resume and relevant certifications.
