Design Manager

We’re looking for vision, a passion for Design, a player-coach, and skillset in Illustrator. Kyle Bunting has exceptional content and we make more and more daily. Creative direction, brand standards, and design language exist. Come be the designer of the design workflow where amazing artwork is generated incessantly. Portfolios are welcome, but we're most interested in your ability to lead people, improve processes, and build high-performing creative teams. This is a difficult role to fill as left-brain traits are required, but you have a passion and right-brain understanding that promotes creativity and artistic output. You’re a leader first, designer second.

What You'll Own

Team Leadership:

Lead and develop a design team that includes:

● Design Artists (Adobe Illustrator)

● Manufacturing Engineering Support (Renderings → Production)

● Offshore Production Artists

Create accountability, improve communication, and elevate overall team performance.

Process & Workflow:

Improve the systems that move projects from concept to production.

● Standardize workflows and improve the process through the Designers

● Improve efficiency and throughput

● Reduce bottlenecks and unnecessary revisions

● Ensure projects move smoothly between design, engineering, and manufacturing

Quality & Brand Standards:

Become an expert in Kyle Bunting's design language, drafting standards, and production requirements.

● Maintain consistency across all work

● Improve quality control processes

● Ensure designs are both creatively strong and manufacturable

Operational Excellence:

Build a department that performs reliably in a highly customized environment.

Success means faster turnaround times, clearer communication, higher quality output, and a team that operates as a coordinated system rather than a collection of individuals.

Pay Range: $70,000 + incentives; range $80k-$100k+ DOE
