Duties Help This position may be filled at either GG-11 or GG-12 grade level, please indicate the grade for which you want to be considered. Incumbent may be advanced non-competitively to the established target grade upon meeting developmental benchmarks, performance requirements, and other requirements, as applicable established for the career program or specifically for the incumbent. As an INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: Utilizes advanced technical and critical thinking to identify, document, compose reports and communicate security program vulnerabilities and associated mitigation actions to internal/external stakeholders up to the senior executive level. Demonstrates advanced competency of analysis methods, professional writing skills to complete comprehensive reports, and oral presentations with the ability to succinctly express ideas and concepts to internal/external stakeholders. Conducts recurring Security Reviews (SRs) of the cleared facilities with varying degrees of NISP complexity Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must be a US citizen Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized Experience For This Position Includes For the GG-11 : I have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that I have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-09) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Conducting periodic security reviews and other security oversight actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and/or other security agreements Conducting, recording and overseeing security violation investigations and/or associated activity occurring at contractor facilities to include the loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified information/material ensuring appropriate conclusions, identification of culpable individual(s), root cause and corrective actions to prevent recurrence; Developing and presenting oral briefings to large groups and stakeholders OR I have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. For the GG-12 Specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that I have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-11) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
