Field Service Technician – Electro-Mechanical Systems

Norristown Pennsylvania

3–5+ years of field service, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or similar hands-on repair experience required. Strong electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience is essential.

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, electro-mechanical, and electrohydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex electro-mechanical and electrohydraulic systems.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and control-system problems.
• Troubleshoot diesel-powered equipment, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, motors, sensors, wiring, and electrical components.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with customers and subcontractors during installation, commissioning, service, and repair activities.
• Provide customers with technical support and equipment training.
• Document service activities, troubleshooting findings, repairs, and recommendations.
• Occasional travel to customer locations across the US.

Requirements

• US Citizenship or current Permanent Residency (Green Card)
• 3–5+ years of field service, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or comparable hands-on technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical equipment.
• Experience working from electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel extensively throughout North America and occasionally internationally.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal personnel.

Preferred Background:

• Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering/Technology.
• Experience with control systems or safety-critical equipment.
• Experience in civil construction or heavy industrial equipment.
• Strong proficiency with computerized diagnostic systems.
