Investment Associate

Compensation: Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus Client/Job Summary: Our client, a vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm, is seeking an Investment Associate to join its Dallas-based team. This individual will play a key role in sourcing, underwriting, executing, and managing investments across a diversified real estate platform that includes multifamily, commercial, and development projects. The position offers direct exposure to acquisitions, asset management, development, and institutional capital relationships within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities: Perform detailed financial analysis and underwriting for potential real estate investment opportunities. Develop and maintain complex acquisition, development, and asset management financial models. Prepare investment committee materials, deal presentations, and reports for senior leadership and capital partners Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and evaluate investment trends across target markets and asset classes. Support sourcing efforts by maintaining relationships with brokers, lenders, joint venture partners, and other transaction participants. Assist in transaction execution, due diligence coordination, financing processes, and closing activities. Monitor and manage acquisition pipelines, tracking opportunities from initial review through execution. Partner with asset management and property operations teams to support business plan execution and value creation initiatives. Participate in development feasibility analysis, entitlement review, and pre-acquisition evaluations. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including consultants, attorneys, lenders, and operating partners. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in real estate investments, acquisitions, development, asset management, investment banking, or consulting. Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience evaluating real estate investments through discounted cash flow analysis and return modeling. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise presentations. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment. Self-starter with strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams while taking ownership of key responsibilities. Willingness to travel as needed. Preferred Background: Experience with institutional real estate investment, development, private equity real estate, or commercial real estate platforms. Exposure to acquisitions, asset management, and development projects across multiple asset classes. Proficiency with ARGUS, AI-driven analytical tools, and advanced real estate financial modeling techniques. Experience preparing investment committee materials and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders. Track record of analyzing and executing complex real estate transactions.
