We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Xylem is looking for a Field Service Technician to report to our Milledgeville, GA location and service our water treatment equipment at customer sites in the surrounding area, with occasional coverage in Albany, GA.What your day will look like as a Field Service TechnicianThe Field Service Technician will be responsible for the on-site operation, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment. This position will support a retired power plant where Xylem operates a wastewater treatment system utilizing clarifiers, media filters, reverse osmosis (RO), biological treatment, and sludge thickening systems. Equipment-specific training will be provided, and we are willing to train the right person.Candidates with a background in construction, plumbing, HVAC, industrial HVAC, or a related technical field are especially encouraged to apply. Strong mechanical and plumbing troubleshooting skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently in an industrial environment are highly valued.This position operates on a Monday–Thursday, 4x10 schedule, generally from 6:00/7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch. If you believe that we would be the right fit for you, please apply today.Position Requirements for Field Service TechniciansHS diploma or equivalent1-2 years of technical experience preferred; industrial or commercial process water experience a plusBackground in plumbing, HVAC, industrial HVAC, construction, mechanical maintenance, or a related technical field preferredAbility to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and plumbing systemsStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn water and wastewater treatment processesAbility to work independently at a customer site and interact professionally with customersAbility to identify and remedy potential safety concernsExperience with Microsoft Office, including the ability to utilize smart devicesAbility to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screenA valid driver's license with a clean driving recordThe estimated salary range for this position is $25 to $28 per hour.
