Seasonal Mutuel Teller Training Oaklawn is currently looking for candidates interested in attending training focusing on Mutuel Tellers. Training class will run from Saturday November 25, 2025 to Sunday, December 3, 2025, Saturday and Sunday ONLY. Candidates will test on the last day of training, Sunday, December 3, 2025. START DATE: Saturday November 25, 2025 END DATE: Sunday, December 3, 2025 SCHEDULE: Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm OR Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm LOCATION: Training is in the Mezzanine of Oaklawn Hot Springs, Arkansas (2705 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, AR). Candidates will be met on the first day of training at the American Pharaoh Statue Entrance. Your completed application must be received by Friday, November 24, 2025 To be considered for Dealer School Candidates Must: - Candidates understand they attend Mutuel Teller Training on their own time and are not a Team Member of Oaklawn Hot Springs, Arkansas.
- Mutuel Teller Training is free to attend. Candidates do not receive pay during the Training because they are not Team Members of Oaklawn Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Successful completion of Mutuel Teller Training requires: - Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Adhere to Mutuel Teller Training Attendance Policy set by Director of Mutuels
- Candidates must have a positive and upbeat attitude during training; this will be monitored by the instructor during training time
- Excellent skills in both written and oral communication
- Must be fast and accurate in handling cash
- Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets
- Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of money
- Must be able to tolerate areas with varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality
- Must be able to stand for majority of shift
- Dress for Training is business casual (no jeans with holes, pajamas, shorts, leggings, flip flops, hats, facial piercings, gauges, etc.)
Candidates Who Successful Pass Final Test: - Will be offered a Seasonal/Part Time position.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Required to get an Arkansas Racing License
- Complete onboarding and New Hire Orientation the week after Mutuel Teller Training
- Work opening weekend. First day of racing is Friday, December 8, 2025
