Our mission is to enhance living environments through quality products and services while working closely with dealers, builders, contractors, designers, and architects.The Garage Door Installer is responsible for the safe and professional installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of hearth products for Williams dealers and residential customers. This role requires mechanical aptitude, physical agility, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Installers work closely with internal staff and external clients to ensure timely and accurate completion of installations in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.Position SummaryInstallation & troubleshooting of garage doorsCourteous and effective communication, verbal and text/email, with external customers and internal Williams staffConsistent completion of jobs/tasks in accordance with manager and/or trainer instruction regarding installation and operations processes and proceduresConfirm installation requirements by reading and understanding manuals, codes and other related materialsUtilization of electronic scheduling system using a smart phone or tabletOther jobs and responsibilities as may be assigned by Installation Services Manager; GM of Garage Door Products or other senior level managementFollow standard operating procedures, established work processes and Company policiesPerform additional tasks as requiredNature & ScopeWorks within well-defined instructionsUses established procedures and works under supervision to perform assigned tasksWork is closely supervisedKnowledge & SkillsProficient in the use of hand tools, battery-powered tools, and AC-powered toolsExperience with Garage Door InstallationStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocolsEffective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal staffAbility to follow well-defined instructions and established proceduresComfortable working under close supervision while maintaining a high level of professionalismWillingness to learn new technologies, tools, and installation methodsDependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a teamCompetencyExperience 0-2 years of relevant trades experienceEducation/Certification High school diploma or GED equivalentPeople ManagementNoPhysical Requirements / Work EnvironmentMust be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodationsValid driver's license and be insurable under company insurance policyMust be able to safely and effectively perform all primary job responsibilities in a physically demanding environmentAbility to lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing up to 75 lbs, including repetitive handling and team lifts for heavier itemsRegular use of safety equipment including ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and harnesses (when required) to access elevated work areasReports To: Manager, Installation ServicesQualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
