Quality Compliance ManagerEast West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Quality Compliance Manager to join our Quality team!The Quality Compliance Manager will be a dynamic role leading compliance with US regulations for Food Safety systems through supervision and development of a team of quality specialists. Who doesn't love a surprise?This position is located in Eugene, Oregon.We work in a LEED certified facility which prioritizes the planet in our daily operations and optimizes our employee experience while at work.We prioritize sustainability as a business by embedding it into our values, our strategic priorities, our decision-making, and our resource allocations.Our Nourish Market provides employees subsidized healthy lunch and snack options.We commit to our purpose in every aspect of our culture.We have employees that are committed to "Doing Good" in our community and around the world.We are a growing company with products that customers love.We believe in investing in you and your growth and development.Team Leadership and Development 35% of timeProvide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and performance management for the Document Control Specialist, Quality Assurance Specialist, Customer Quality Specialist, and Supplier Quality SpecialistEnsure team functions are performed accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable regulationsFoster a team culture of quality ownership, structured problem-solving, and proactive compliance; model and reinforce "best-in-class" behaviorsCoordinate team workload during peak audit periods; provide coverage guidance and escalation pathways for complex issuesFacility Audit Readiness and Support 25% of timeMaintain year-round audit readiness across documentation, training records, batch records, facility conditions, and SOPs in coordination with the Quality Manager and the specialist teamCoordinate pre-audit preparation activities, including mock audits, gap assessments against applicable standards (21 CFR Part 111, BRC, NOP), and departmental readiness briefingsSupport post-audit corrective action processes: assist in root cause analysis, coordinate CAPA assignment through the Quality Assurance Specialist, and track implementation to closureQuality Management System Oversight 20% of timeReview and approve significant document revisions, new SOPs, and quality program changes before implementation; coordinate communication and training with the Document Control SpecialistServe as the internal subject matter expert and escalation point for GMP compliance, regulatory interpretation, and quality system questions from operations, R&D, and procurementLead or coordinate continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function; compile project plans and facilitate cross-functional team meetings to ensure timely resolutionCross-Functional Leadership and Reporting 20% of timeReport to the Quality Manager and Director Quality on the state of the specialist team's functions, QMS performance, audit readiness status, and significant quality issuesPrepare and present regulatory documents, compliance letters, and management review materials as directed by the Quality ManagerMaintain relationships with relevant certification bodies, industry associations, and internal cross-functional partnersWhat you know and have experienced:Bachelor's Degree in food science, biological sciences, or a related field requiredCertified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent auditing credential preferred; PCQI certification preferred5-7 years of progressive experience in quality assurance or regulatory compliance within food and/or dietary supplement manufacturingMinimum 2 years of direct people management or team leadership experience in a regulated quality environmentIn-depth knowledge of 21 CFR Part 111 (dietary supplement cGMP) and 21 CFR Part 110/117 (food cGMP/ FMSA)Familiarity with BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and USDA National Organic Program (NOP) requirementsBroad knowledge of GFSI- recognized standards (BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000) and HACCP/food safety management systemsYou'll be a great fit:Strong critical thinking ability to navigate and solve complex problemsSolid work ethic, self-starter, and result-orientedNatural ability to develop strong, trusting relationshipsEnjoys collaborating with cross-functional partnersResponsible and a high degree of ownershipThrives in an ever-changing work environmentEffectively managing a multitude of work responsibilitiesBalances attention to detail and swift executionWe manufacture Yogi and Choice Organics brand products.
