This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overseeing events at an assigned account. Account managers also build, improve, and maintain relationships with clients and employees, develop and retain staff, and coordinate needed support services and solve problems to effectively run the account and event operations. Through knowledge of the principles and practices used in successful event management, this position is responsible for show preparation up and through its closeout, while adhering to all applicable policies and procedures. Duties include the provisioning of leadership and direction to subordinate staff, supervisors, and front-line crew members while maintaining the highest levels of employee morale, safety, service, appearance, and performance.The salary for this role is $100,000 per year.Responsibilities:Supervise the day-to-day event operations and staffing of an assigned client siteManage a team of event supervisors and event staff including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support, discipline, and terminationsBuild, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both client and employeesCoordinate necessary support services to effectively manage client site to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer serviceEnsure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are metAssure regular communication of issues or event with our clientHandle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriatelyCommunicate staffing needs via Requisition Form; assist recruiters in identifying, interviewing, and hiring quality candidatesDevelop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, training, annual formal performance evaluations, recognition, etc.)Assure communication of policies, company announcements and job openings through a consistently updated READ file at each siteMeet all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtimeCoordinate and/or conduct site-specific OJT, client-specific training, and annual refresher training for event security and event staff personnel, as well as meet Allied Universal's corporate training standardsDevelop and maintain operational procedures so that a valid, site-specific post orders are always available for emergency reference by the event staffManage uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles utilized at the account(s), maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklistsTake a proactive role in communicating with the client and meeting their needs; meet regularly, listen to issues, provide security and technical expertise and solutions; ensure complete customer satisfactionCapably utilize ABI and WinTeam for scheduling and billing, and to produce reports (such as Scheduling Activity, invoice Aging by tiers, Training Summary and Training Detail reports) that require interpretation and action for effective business managementEnforce Allied Universal Event Services policies as outlined in the handbooks, executive memos and on the portalAttend client meetings, security meetings, and event walk-through(s)Ensure all staff is debriefed properly and prepared for each eventPrepare and disseminate event post orders to each employee working each event as assigned venue/eventEnsure all labor laws are being adhered to (rest and meal periods executed per law, check-in/check-out procedure is followed, etc.)Promote Grooming and Appearance Policy by looking professional and appropriate at all times and enforcing that policy within the ranksMaintain constant communication with direct manager regarding client issues or concerns, employee performance issues, guest complaints, injuries, or other important facts related to account/event assignedCreate venue dot maps deployment sheets, show grids, etc.Complete and submit all paperwork (incident reports, workers compensation filings, etc.) according to policy, along with the event file, to direct managerOversee and maintain Core staffing, key position succession, and monitor scheduled personnel/shiftsFacilitate the timely invoicing of events and follows up with client to ensure payment; investigate and mitigate any impediments to the invoicing and payment process in conjunction with the Finance ManagerQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentMinimum of three (3) years of event management, event operations, and/or event supervisory experienceExperience in hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining quality staffAbility to develop and grow customer relationshipsAbility to work in a team-oriented management environment with the ability to work independentlyAbility to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, a diverse team of employees and client requirements on an ongoing basisAbility to work in a team-oriented management environment while having an entrepreneurial attitudeDemonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlinesHighly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technologyProfessional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretionMust be able to work nights/evenings/holidays as needed with a flexible schedulePreferred Qualifications:Facilities management, military, or law enforcement experiencePrevious payroll, billing, and scheduling experienceBenefits:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, retirement plan and disability insuranceEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly;
