Airport Maintenance WorkerGeneral Mitchell AirportHourly Pay Rate: $26.45Closing Date: 9/9/2026 or upon receiving the first 50 applications submissions.Working on any assigned shift any day or night of the week or during emergency situations will be required.Job Summary: Perform maintenance and improvements to airport roads, grounds, runways, taxiways, parking areas, buildings, fixtures and fence lines. Operate and maintain specialized motorized equipment for the purpose of grounds maintenance and snow removal. Work is performed to maintain compliance with FAA standards.Essential Duties:Operate and maintain motorized equipment: Operate and maintain a variety of motorized equipment to include: vans, trucks, loaders backhoes, skid steer, graders, sweepers and specialized snow removal equipment. Perform daily maintenance and make minor adjustments on equipment.Perform maintenance, repairs and improvements to airport property: Perform maintenance, repairs and improvements to airport roads, grounds, airfield pavement and fence lines.Perform maintenance to buildings and fixtures: Perform maintenance and repairs to airport buildings and fixtures.Participate in training and train others: Participate in various training classes and seminars. Assist in training other maintenance personnel.Minimum Qualifications:Current resident of WIValid WI Driver's LicenseHigh school diploma or G. E. D. equivalentAt least two (2) years of experience of semi-skilled mechanical, building and groundsAbility to lift/carry up to 60 lbs. and push/pull up to 60 lbs. is required.License:Obtain within 6 months of hire and maintain Commercial Driver's License-Class B with air brake endorsementObtain within 6 months upon hire and maintain throughout employment - Class 1 Airport Drivers LicenseNote: This original application is open to permanent residents of the state of Wisconsin at the time of application.
