Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team. In this role, you will spend your time reaching out to hospitals, skilled nursing and rehab facilities, senior living communities, physician offices, hospice agencies, and elder law attorneys to understand the discharge and care coordination challenges they face, and to position Silver Lining Serenity Care as the private-duty in-home care partner they trust with their patients and residents. You will also manage relationships with existing referral sources, stay current on trends in senior care and post-acute discharge, and maintain a strong working knowledge of our services so you can be a real resource rather than another vendor dropping off brochures.

This is a 1099, commission-only position with a clear path forward: consistent production moves you to a base salary plus performance bonus, and as we expand into additional markets, this role is the track into a Business Development Manager position leading the team. The ideal candidate has demonstrable sales experience, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to absorb and retain complex information.

Responsibilities

• Reach out to new and potential referral sources to form relationships, assess their patient and resident needs, and present our services
• Maintain existing referral relationships, follow up on placements, and resolve issues quickly so those sources keep sending business
• Convert inbound inquiries and family consultations into started clients
• Host lunch-and-learns and represent SLSC at community events, senior expos, and networking groups
• Keep up with trends in home care, post-acute discharge, and senior living to understand what our referral partners are up against
• Maintain excellent working knowledge of our services, rates, and service area
• Track your own pipeline in CRM

Qualifications

• Demonstrable sales experience desired; healthcare, senior care, hospice, home care, or DME referral development strongly preferred
• Previous medical knowledge or understanding of basic care and discharge concepts helpful
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with credibility in front of clinical and social work professionals
• Strongly self-motivated and very goal oriented — this role is self-directed and no lead list will be handed to you
• Strong organizational skills
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a background check
• Familiarity with the West Michigan senior care market is a plus

Compensation

Commission only (1099) , uncapped, with a first-year on-target earnings of $100,000. You earn a percentage of all billed revenue from every client you bring in, paid for as long as that client remains in service — so your income compounds as your book of business grows rather than resetting each month. Advancement to base salary plus performance bonus upon hitting agreed production benchmarks, with a clear path into Business Development Management as we expand into additional markets.
