Business Development Manager - Data Center

Job Summary Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner that helps market‑leading brands design, build, and deliver innovative products. We are seeking a Business Development Manager to work remotely within the United States, reporting to the Business Development Director for Modular. The role will focus on qualifying new customers, generating new business, and building long‑term relationships to achieve pipeline and booking targets. Responsibilities Utilize customer, account, and market intelligence to develop sales strategies and account penetration. Promote Flex’s product portfolio and craft proactive solutions that differentiate the company and address key customer challenges. Build and manage a personal pipeline aligned with the overall business unit strategy. Collaborate with regional leaders and the Business Development team to devise strategies for Flex’s shaping propositions. Understand each customer’s organization, products, market position, sourcing strategy, and future plans to develop tailored roadmaps. Own and execute account strategies to close business, including pipeline development, contract negotiation, and approval processes. Establish and nurture customer relationships, ensuring clear communication of expectations and contractual obligations. Research and anticipate customers’ business strategies, product plans, and expansion activities to drive booking targets. Define business priorities based on market and technology trends, and manage activities that strengthen market penetration. Present, sell, and deliver Flex solutions—including concept development, design, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, services, and logistics support. Negotiate deals and service agreements in line with customer needs and company targets. Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. At least six years of experience in data‑center or critical power business development with a focus on strategic North‑American growth. Proficiency working with internal teams, executive management, and external customers to maximize mutual benefit. Strong understanding of key financial metrics, including the ability to read P&L statements, balance sheets, and ROI indicators. Demonstrated mastery of functional knowledge across related business domains and a comprehensive understanding of cross‑functional relationships.
