Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer – NYC Metro Area
Growing MEP consulting firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer to lead the design and development of HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and other building projects. Excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects with a collaborative team and strong long-term growth potential.
Responsibilities:
- Lead HVAC system design, engineering calculations, and construction documentation.
- Oversee mechanical design projects from concept through construction.
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural teams.
- Review drawings, specifications, and equipment selections.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of mechanical HVAC design experience within an MEP consulting environment.
- Strong knowledge of building HVAC systems, codes, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
- PE license is not required.
