Overview
Radiation Therapist (Radiation Therapy Tech) – Saint Helena, California. This is a travel - temporary assignment starting 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,711 to $2,826 per week, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is day hours, 5x8s (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
- Deliver external beam radiation therapy under physician prescription, following established treatment plans and safety protocols.
- Set up patients and operate treatment delivery systems; perform required imaging and verify proper alignment and positioning per protocol.
- Validate patient identity, treatment site, and plan details in the electronic health record, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with the oncology team (physicians, dosimetrists, other therapists) to ensure precise, safe treatment delivery and patient care.
- Monitor patients during treatments, address comfort and safety needs, and respond to any adverse events or changes in patient condition.
- Maintain radiation safety standards, perform routine QA checks on equipment, and support shielding and protection measures for staff and patients.
- Utilize EPIC for charting and ARIA/VARIAN systems as applicable; operate within a 21ix machine environment as required.
- No on-call responsibilities.

Requirements
- Active ARRT certification and California state license as Radiation Therapist
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in radiation therapy
- Experience with EPIC and ARIA/VARIAN systems; familiarity with machine type 21ix
- Ability to work a day shift (Mon–Fri) in a fast-paced short-term acute care setting
- Must be able to work in Saint Helena, CA and participate in a travel assignment as described
