Commercial Plumbing Estimator 

The Commercial Plumbing Estimator plays a pivotal role in securing profitable projects by preparing comprehensive budgets and bids. This hands-on position involves managing the entire estimation process, from initial review of plans and specifications to delivering the final proposal—all while being part of a company that values culture and growth. 

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs. 

• Develop competitive and profitable bids. 

• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure proposals meet project requirements and client expectations. 

• Manage subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing for optimal project value. 

• Maintain a comprehensive database of unit costs and historical project data for future use. 

• Prepare and present proposals to clients in a professional and persuasive manner. 

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial plumbing estimating. 

• Proven ability to develop accurate and competitive bids that win projects. 

• Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, equipment, and installation practices. 

• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. 

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy. 

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

• A team player with a positive and results-oriented attitude. 

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree. 

• Strong negotiation and sales skills with high motivation to meet goals.
