Responsibilities Provide Patient-Centered Care: Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short- and long-term patient needs while delivering high-quality, efficient care. Assess patient health: Interview patients, perform physical examinations, obtain, update, and study medical histories. Determine abnormal conditions: Administer or order diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, ECGs, laboratory studies) and interpret test results. Perform therapeutic procedures: Administer injections and immunizations, suture, manage wounds and infections. Educate and counsel: Educate patients about health, therapeutic regimens, development, family planning, and wellness through counseling. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare clear, complete medical records; type, edit, and electronically sign notes using EMR; maintain a safe environment; adhere to infection-control policies; comply with legal and professional requirements. Collaborate with a Team: Work with other providers to treat patients and plan dispositions in a timely manner. Continuing Education: Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies. Qualifications Master's degree and certification by a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body; DEA license with no restrictions; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross). CPR or ACLS online-only classes not accepted. Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care is preferred. Excellent teamwork and proactive communication; compassionate, patient-focused approach; technically proficient with EMR. Strong knowledge of relevant laws/regulations including HIPAA/OSHA and medical practice regulations. Pay and Benefits Pay range: $52 - $60 USD per hour. Compensation may vary by location, experience, and market conditions. Eligible for productivity-based incentive program.
